For some reason, this editorial has stuck with me over the last 16 years…I first read it in Transworld Skate Magazine when I was 13 years old.

Something about it resonated with me and creeped into my psyche.

Whenever I was confronted with the “scared” feeling I would think of these words…

Getting nervous to hit a jump snowboarding?

Asking that amazing girl named Julia out in high school?

Graduating and facing the reality that I am now headed to the real world?

Leaving a wonderful, safe, secure job to pursue my dream of working in commercial real estate?

Realizing that I am now 100% responsible for an amazing little human (who has Julia’s eyes)?

That first line would float into my head and then the rest would follow…
